August 2019 Lunar Calendar

Hello Melenitas! If you're new to my blogs or Instagram posts then you might be wondering "what the heck is this Lunar Calendar going to do for me?" Well... I am actually obsessed with the moon and I have studied for various years that the moon has effects over us. Just like it changes the tide, our energies, and even our moods, it can also change our hair for better... or for worse.

You see, certain phases of the moon have specific effects on our hair. At the beginning of each month, I will post certain dates that you should get that hair cut that you've always wanted and other days where it's best to avoid haircuts.

Without further ado, these are the phases and dates for the month of August 2019 (I will attach pictures for references although the calendar does not go hand in hand with my analysis because It is not mine, I use it for a visual reference of dates only and the moon phases):

-Crescent Moon (either waxing or waning: The moon is tiny like a banana shape (lol can't think of another way to explain it.

~This moon is extremely good if you want to cut a couple inches off (maybe 1-2 max). This is my favorite phase because supposedly, your hair grows fast, thick,, and strong (at least mine has always been that way) The dates would be 4-6 and 25-27 of August 2019.~

-New Moon: The moon is not visible.

~I don't recommend using this oon. It is said that if you cut your hair during this phase, it will start becoming weak, fall off, and get stuck for a couple of months with little to no growth. The dates are: 1-3 and 29-31 of August 1029.~

-Full Moon: The moon is full (duh)

~I recommend using this phase if you want to do a big change like cut off more than a couple inches (maybe 5+ inches). Your hair should grow back luscious, strong, and beautiful. The dates: 12-18 of this month.~
